The Daikin Altherma ETVX16S18E9W7 + EPRA16DW1 is a complete air-to-water heat-pump system for whole-house heating, cooling and domestic hot water. The split design combines the outdoor unit (EPRA16DW1) with an indoor hydrobox containing an integrated 180-litre stainless-steel hot-water tank — making it suitable for renovations and existing radiator systems requiring flow temperatures up to approximately 70 °C.

Fluorinated greenhouse gases: This unit contains the refrigerant R-32 (GWP 675, hermetically sealed system). Installation, maintenance and disposal must be carried out by a certified technician in accordance with EU Regulation 517/2014 (revised by Regulation (EU) 2024/573). For customers in the United Kingdom, the UK F-Gas Regulations 2015 (as retained EU law) apply equivalently.
Installation: Self-installation is not permitted. On request we can arrange a certified F-Gas installer in your region.

How do I choose the right BTU size for my room?
A rough rule is ~600 BTU per m² for standard insulation. For sun-facing or top-floor rooms add 15–20 %. Our team is happy to advise.
Do I need a certified technician for installation?
Yes — split air conditioners with fluorinated refrigerant must be installed by a certified F-Gas technician (EU Regulation 517/2014). Self-installation is not permitted. We can arrange a qualified installer in your region.
What warranty is included?
Standard manufacturer warranty is 36 months on the unit, provided installation is carried out by a certified F-Gas technician. Detailed warranty conditions are in the product datasheet.
What do SEER and SCOP mean?
SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the seasonal cooling efficiency — higher is better. SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) is the seasonal heating efficiency. SEER ≥ 6.0 and SCOP ≥ 4.0 are considered very good for residential split air conditioners.
