Electric boilers are the simplest option for apartments, holiday homes, or extensions without a gas connection. No chimney, no fuel storage, silent and emission-free on site. Ideal as main heating for smaller, well-insulated units or as supplementary heating.

• Buffer tank — usually required for pellet/wood boilers; also useful when combined with solar or a heat pump.

Boiler installation requires a licensed heating contractor — flue system, gas line, and commissioning need expertise and, in Germany, sign-off from the district chimney sweep. Annual maintenance per manufacturer specifications maintains efficiency and warranty coverage.
