Refund policy

14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU)

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Moderni GmbH, Leinsamenweg 114, 50933 Cologne, Germany; phone: +49 2421 9341061; email: office@jacobwarm.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form provided below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us at the following address, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal:

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. For bulky items (e.g. heat pumps, boilers, large fireplaces) that cannot normally be returned by post, return shipping costs are estimated at up to €150 depending on size and destination.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Condition of Returned Items

To assess the goods, you may unpack and inspect them as you would in a physical retail store. Original packaging is appreciated but not mandatory; if the original packaging is damaged or missing, we may charge a fair compensation for the loss in value.

Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately at office@jacobwarm.com so we can arrange replacement, repair, or refund at no additional cost. The statutory warranty period of 2 years applies in addition to the right of withdrawal.

Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized;
  • Sealed goods unsuitable for return for hygiene or health-protection reasons, once unsealed after delivery;
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases;
  • Gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to receive a different product is to withdraw from your current order and place a new one once the return is received and processed.

Refund Processing Time

After we receive and inspect your return, we will process the refund within 14 days to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the refund may take additional time to appear on your account.
