Inverter air conditioners continuously adjust output to actual cooling demand — unlike older on/off units that cycle between full load and standstill. The result: lower power consumption, less wear, and noticeably quieter operation. A multi-split system links several indoor units to one outdoor unit, ideal for open-plan layouts or multiple rooms without the efficiency losses of long ducts.

Our units use modern R-32 refrigerant — environmentally friendlier and delivering optimal efficiency at minimal power consumption. Most models reach energy class A++ or higher.

Single Split vs. Multi Split: Sizing It Right

A single-split unit cools one room — perfect for bedrooms, offices, or compact apartments. Multi-split systems connect up to five or more indoor units (wall, cassette, duct) to a single outdoor unit. That's more economical than multiple outdoor units and saves space.

Calculate the required cooling capacity in BTU or kilowatts based on room size, insulation, and sun exposure. Undersized units run constantly at full load; oversized units bring no efficiency gain.

Maintenance every 2–3 years (filter cleaning, refrigerant check) keeps efficiency on target. A properly installed inverter split system runs reliably for 12–15 years.

How many BTU do I need for my room?

Use the manufacturer’s “recommended room size” on the unit as a guide: approx. 20 m² → 9,000 BTU class, approx. 30 m² → 12,000, up to approx. 50 m² → 18,000. For south-facing or attic rooms choose the next larger class — the climate finder does the choosing for you.

May I install a split air conditioner myself?

No. Units with fluorinated refrigerant (e.g. R32) must be installed by a certified specialist company in accordance with EU Regulation 2024/573. You can get the installation accessories for your installer from us.

Can an air conditioner also heat?

Yes — modern inverter units heat very efficiently. The SCOP value shows heating efficiency: a SCOP of 4.6 means 1 kWh of electricity becomes 4.6 kWh of heat.

How does delivery work?

Shipping within the EU is free from €100 order value — below that, the exact cost is shown at checkout (unfortunately we cannot deliver to islands). Items in stock usually arrive in approx. 4–6 business days; otherwise approx. 4–8 business days — for Bosch units currently approx. 8–11 business days. For split air conditioners and heat pumps containing F-gas, the delivery time counts from receipt of the certified-installer documents. Compact units ship as parcels; large units by freight carrier with advance phone notice. You receive tracking by e-mail.
