Inverter air conditioners continuously adjust output to actual cooling demand — unlike older on/off units that cycle between full load and standstill. Calculate the required cooling capacity in BTU or kilowatts based on room size, insulation, and sun exposure. Undersized units run constantly at full load; oversized units bring no efficiency gain.
