Important to know: Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries are two independent corporations with different product lines, their own service networks and their own spare parts. Both stand for Japanese premium quality, very high efficiency even at low outdoor temperatures, and durable engineering.

Mitsubishi Electric – the premium air conditioning specialists

Mitsubishi Electric (MELCO) has its air conditioning headquarters in Tokyo and is known worldwide for its Hyper Heating technology – heat pump air conditioners that still deliver up to 100 % of their output at outdoor temperatures of −25 °C. Ideal for German winters and for flats that would otherwise be too cold to condition in winter.

MSZ-AP / MSZ-LN (Diamond) – design-led wall units
Premium wall units with a distinctive front panel in black, silver or white. WiFi control, A+++ energy class, R-32 refrigerant. The MSZ-LN is the flagship, with dual filtration and very quiet operation (19 dB in sleep mode).

MSZ-EF (Kirigamine Zen) – the efficiency class
A balanced price-performance model. Hyper Heating, WiFi, motion sensor, A++ to A+++.

SUZ-SWM Ecodan – air-to-water heat pump
Premium heat pump for heating and hot water. Very high COP values, R-32, eligible under KfW 458 — the size of the grant depends on the programme conditions.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) – the industrially proven brand

Alongside air conditioning, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is active in shipbuilding, aerospace and energy technology – which shows in how robust and durable its climate solutions are. Its strengths: dependable industrial quality, good value for money, and a broad range for private and commercial customers.

SRK ZSP-W (Avanti) – premium wall units
The flagship model with WiFi, plasma ioniser, A+++ energy class and R-32. Very quiet in night mode, with a Hyper Heating function.

SRK ZSX / SRK ZJ (Smart) – the efficiency class
Solid all-round air conditioners with good efficiency and straightforward controls. R-32 refrigerant.

SRC PZE – multi-split outdoor units
An outdoor unit for two to five indoor units – ideal for multi-room setups in houses, offices or practices.

Mitsubishi Electric vs. Mitsubishi Heavy – which brand?

• Mitsubishi Electric (MSZ series): the right choice if you want the latest control features (app, smart home), design, and Hyper Heating for cold climates. Prices are somewhat higher.
• Mitsubishi Heavy (SRK series): the right choice if you want robust, proven climate technology at a better price and can do with slightly fewer control features. Very reliable in continuous operation.

All units carry the statutory two-year warranty of conformity. Manufacturer guarantees may go beyond that — their terms are set by the manufacturer; ask us and we will tell you what applies to the specific model.

Hyper Heating – why it matters

Conventional air conditioners lose 30–50 % of their heating output at an outdoor temperature of −10 °C. Hyper Heating models hold their output down to −25 °C – ideal for Germany and other EU countries with hard winters. That turns an air conditioner with heat pump function into a genuine additional heating system rather than a summer-only cooler.

Delivery, Installation & Service

Shipping within the EU is free — unfortunately we cannot deliver to islands. Items in stock usually arrive in approx. 4–6 business days, otherwise approx. 4–8 business days. For units containing F-gas, the delivery time starts once we receive the certified-installer documents. Installation is carried out by a certified refrigeration company of your choice. Service and spare parts for both brands are available through German service networks.

Are Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy the same company?
No. Both belong to the Mitsubishi family but are independent corporations with their own climate products, their own service organisations and different product lines.

Which Mitsubishi model for 30 m²?
A Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-AP25 (9,000 BTU) or a Heavy SRK ZJ25 (9,000 BTU) is enough for well-insulated rooms up to 30 m². If you also need Hyper Heating for winter, choose the MSZ-LN25.

What does Hyper Heating mean?
It is a specific inverter technology that maintains high output at low outdoor temperatures (down to −25 °C). It makes an air conditioner usable all year round – including as additional heating in winter.

How long does delivery take?
Shipping within the EU is free — unfortunately we cannot deliver to islands. Items in stock usually arrive in approx. 4–6 business days, otherwise approx. 4–8 business days. For units containing F-gas, the delivery time starts once we receive the certified-installer documents. Larger outdoor units are delivered by freight carrier with advance phone notice.

Does installation have to be done by a specialist company?
Yes, by law (EU F-gas regulation). Installing it yourself is not permitted — please commission a certified refrigeration company of your choice.
