Prity – Wood and Pellet Stoves with German BImSchV II Approval
Prity is a European manufacturer with more than 25 years of experience building wood and pellet stoves for the German-speaking and wider EU market. The stoves are built with modern combustion technology and meet the strictest EU emission standards – including German BImSchV stage II and Ecodesign 2020. Prity is our main supplier in the stove segment: competitive prices, very good availability, and full BImSchV II compliance for the German market.
The Prity Ranges
Prity K series – classic wood stoves
Proven construction with a viewing window, sturdy cast iron and a steel jacket. Heat output 5–14 kW, ideal for living spaces up to 200 m². BImSchV II and Ecodesign compliant.
Prity W series – wood stoves with a water jacket
Combines room heating with water heating – the heat of combustion is also used to support the central heating system or produce hot water. Very economical where a buffer tank is already in place.
Prity pellet stoves
Fully automatic pellet stoves with efficiencies of up to 92 %. Automatic fuel feed, room thermostat control. As convenient as gas heating – but with a renewable fuel instead of a fossil one.
Why Prity?
- BImSchV II and Ecodesign compliant: all models meet the strict German and EU emission limits (dust ≤ 2.0 g/m³, efficiency ≥ 80 %)
- Complete test certificates for chimney-sweep approval
- Very good value for money: solid workmanship and full BImSchV II compliance at moderate prices
- Fast availability: as our main supplier, we keep most models in stock
Wood stove or pellet stove – which suits you?
- Wood stove (Prity K): classic, cosy, needs no electricity, low fuel costs (if you have access to wood), operated manually. Efficiency 70–80 %.
- Wood stove with water jacket (Prity W): like the K series, plus heat transfer to support the central heating. Economical for houses with a buffer tank.
- Pellet stove: automatic operation, room thermostat control, very high efficiency (85–92 %), pellets cheaper than heating oil. Requires electricity (ignition and fan) and storage space for the pellets.
Chimney and Installation
Before ordering: a chimney sweep must inspect and approve your existing chimney. Installation may only be carried out by a certified stove fitter — please commission a specialist company of your choice.
Delivery
Shipping within the EU is free — unfortunately we cannot deliver to islands. Items in stock usually arrive in approx. 4–6 business days, otherwise approx. 4–8 business days. Stoves (40–150 kg) are delivered by freight carrier with advance phone notice, kerbside delivery. Questions? Write to us at office@jacobwarm.com.
FAQ
Are Prity stoves approved for the German market?
Yes, all models meet BImSchV II and Ecodesign 2020 – the standards that apply in Germany and across the EU. A test certificate is supplied with every stove.
What output do I need?
As a rule of thumb: 0.1 kW per m² of living space. A 100 m² flat needs a 10 kW stove as its main heating, or 5 kW as additional heating. We are happy to help with sizing.
How often does it need cleaning?
Empty the ash weekly during active use. A full clean by the chimney sweep once or twice a year.
Are pellet stoves eligible for funding?
Yes, water-carrying pellet appliances can be funded through the KfW (no longer the BAFA since 2024) when they replace an older heating system. One condition is that at least 65 % of the overall system runs on renewable energy.
